Harrowing Crash
Barenaked Ladies' frontman Ed Robertson skirted death Sunday after surviving a plane crash in Ontario, Canada.
Robertson was piloting his own float-plane just north of Bancroft in Ontario with four passengers on board. All five people walked away from the crash. Sgt. Jeff Mackinnon of the Bancroft Police told the Intelligencer, "At 12:30 PM a Cessna 206 was taking off from Baptiste Lake, lost airspeed and entered a wooded area west of the lake." Police will not release any further details while the investigation by Canada's Transportation Safety Board is underway. "Everyone is fine and that is the important thing," says Adam Smith, a spokesman for the band. "That's all the comment we have at this time."
