Does Mum Disapprove?

Katy Perry is in the news again and it's not for kissing a girl. Rumors have been rampant that Perry has been fighting with her family. The singer insists that is the farthest from the truth.

Mum doesn't approve, but that doesn't mean they're fighting Perry's mom is an evangelical Christian preacher and has not exactly been thrilled with the enormous success given to her daughter for her hit single, I Kissed A Girl.

She must seriously love Ear Candy's latest choice, Ur So Gay!

The British songbird is getting it from both sides lately. One side feels that her I Kissed A Girl single promotes homosexuality while others are upset because they believe Ur So Gay is homophobic.

Perry disagrees on both fronts and has said in an interview with London's Mirror, "I think gay people have a wonderful sense of humor," says Perry.

"I think they'll get it and embrace it. It's an anthem for power of the people, for females, gays, exes, anybody who's been broken up with that wants to get over a guy."
