Presenting Outsiders and Olympics

Cynthia is at the top of her game as the Television Blogger here at SheKnows. Don't touch that dial!

Brady and Bobby

Monk and Psych are new while the Olympics feature Michael Phelps continuing history. There's a Brady sighting as well with Maureen McCormick's Outsider's Inn.

Last night I enjoyed a repeat of the rather unusual Supernatural episode Ghostfacers, which is a hand-held parody of Ghost Hunters and yet it still packs a very creepy punch.

The rest of the night was devoted to the Olympics, even more swimming and beach volleyball (so over all of that) and finally the women's all-arounds in gymnastics. It was as exciting as the men's version and a nice showing all around and the U.S. takes the gold. That's showing them!

Tonight on TV

NBC has the Olympic Summer Games 2008 all night long.

ABC is going with the movie Legally Blonde and finishing with 20/20.

CBS has their usual Friday lineup of Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs, and Swingtown.

The CW has a few more weeks of Friday Night Smackdown!

FOX will have football or local programming depending on where you live.

Over on cable

It's the finale of Degrassi: The Next Generation over on The N.

TLC has new episodes of What Not to Wear and Ashley Paige.

E! is going all out with Celebrity Crisis: 10 Most Shocking Mental Disorders, which is followed by The Soup, a show where they highlight that stuff every week.

CMT is all new tonight including the premiere of a new series called Outsider's Inn with Maureen McCormick.

News and notable

NBC is going with Celebrity Come Dine With Me, where celebs host a dinner party for other celebs then get critiqued. Kind of like the Olympics with dinner.

Madchen Amick is taking over the role of the wife in Christian Slater's new series My Own Worst Enemy.

Moonlight star Alex O'Loughlin has signed a talent-holding deal with CBS while they look for a new series for the handsome Aussie actor.

Tim Gunn's Guide to Style is returning for a second season on Bravo starting October 2.

And under the category of 'and they call this good tv?' comes Human Wrecking Balls with a pair of brothers who, week after week, will destroy things with their bare hands. Can't wait.
