Actress Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with breast cancer, according to her publicist.
"Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer," said Ame Van Iden, a rep for the 36-year-old actress.
"Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."
The actress earned a Tony nomination for her role on Broadway's "Sweet Charity" and has earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her ABC comedy "Samantha Who?"
SheKnows looks forward to chatting with Christina at this year's Emmy Awards.
