After an extensive yearly study, the publication found that Vaughn earned the studios $14.73 for every dollar he was paid. The earnings alone from his last three films, "The Break-up," Dodgeball," and "Wedding Crashers" are what endeared him to this esteemed title.
Not too far behind was Spiderman himself, Tobey Maguire. Largely due to his superhero franchise and out of Spidey-suit films such as "Seabiscuit," Maguire pushed his earnings level to $13.44 in profits for each dollar he was paid.
Where are the women on this list?
Number three is Julia Roberts who finished right behind Maguire with her $13.19 per dollar paid. Brad Pitt sat fourth, followed by a surprise at number five.
Naomi Watts is not only a stellar acting talent, but the beauty rakes in the bucks for the studios in regard to what she is paid. Except for "King Kong," is there a blockbuster with her name atop it? It is not about blockbusters, purely to make the studios money. It is about how much the film's earn versus what you were paid. Looks like Watts will be one, be used more in the future, and two, her price is going up!
Closing out the money-makers is Matt Damon, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Hugh Jackman and Ben Stiller.
Who's last? That is a surprise as well.
Nicole Kidman sat last on the list of 35 performers. Her bankability seems to be in question as her figures were dismal. She earned studios $1.01 per dollar that she was paid.
