I have never watched your show before, but I have heard about it. I am 38 years old, 5'6", and weigh 285. I was in the army 4 years, was an International studies major in college. I was a truck driver, now I own a trucking company and I am starting a brokering company. My wife(from Peru)wants me to loose weight for my health. Sometimes I wish I had my Drill instructor with me to help get me back in shape.

I hope Bob and Jillian get to read this comment. I am a 68 year old widow, and have no one in my life. I need to really get motivated, and watching the show has prompted me to write this. I am 5 ft. 3", and weigh about 200 lbs. I know my age is against me for competition, I don't know if I can do all the things you have contestants do. But, at my age, who cares, no one except me. I need to prove to myself that I can do what everyone else can do. I have a shape that would be laughed off the air, actually, my waist is larger than my hips. You trying buying clothes that fit. Health wise, I have a few problems, but am sure I can overcome them if given the chance...Thank you so much for reading this..Dee Weltz

i have a friend her name is jo(jo mama) she is very very large. jo has no medical insurance no job just recently divorced and has three kids. jo is 46 years old and her kids are 19,18,and 12. i would guess jo weighs close to if not more 500 pounds. currently she is living in a motel trying to find a home for her and her kids. she has no job and probably cant get one because of her weight. her health is declining rapidly. jo needs help very badly or her kids are going to be without a mother. i am afraid if she doesnt lose the weight she is going to die! she has so many health issues from this like sleeping, breathing infections and more. how can i get jomama on the biggest loser? right now she can stand no more than 10 minutes before she has to sit down. her dream is to be able to go horseback riding again and i think that would be so wonderful. she also would be perfect for the biggest loser show. jo has a great personality and is very outgoing but anymore she is stressed and depressed. plese help her.

I agree with Rosalin Brown. A shorter version would be nice for those who would appreciate having better eating and exercise habits learned and maybe lose a few pounds in the process.

Christine Schybal May 09, 2009 | 7:07 PM

Hi! I am a 42 year old mother of six, and i have struggled with my wieght for about 10 years now. When i was younger i was very slim and athletic. Then ofcourse my body changed with each child. I really never had a problem until about 10 years ago. It started with 10 lbs that wouldn't go away and now i am 5'7" and over 300 lbs. My knees are bad and i have back problems and sleep problems and of course high blood pressure and water retention. I've tried every diet and i lost a couple of pounds that always come back. It's gotten to the point that my children are worried. I want to be here for them as long as possible and would love the opportunity to learn how to lose the wieght and keep it off in a safe effective way. PLEASE CONSIDER ME!!

Greetings, I am a 43 year old single mom of 5, I have been fighting this fat thing for awhile now and I just keep getting bigger, I need to lose over 100lbs. I want to do it the healthy way, the right way. I used to be a binge eater, then vomit...or I would go days without eating taking ex-lax and diuretics. I am putting my business out here for everyone to see because I sometimes feel like that was the only way for me to get thin. I don't want to slip back into that unhealthy way of trying to lose weight. I have a two year old grand baby as well and I want to see him grow up. Please HELP me!!!

Mary Coulter April 18, 2009 | 12:09 PM

Hello, I am 38 year old stroke survivor. In 2003 at age 32 I was fit (size 12), happy and healthy. I was looking forward to the rest of my life until I was diagnosed with a brain clot. This episode in my life took many unexpected things away from me but it also gifted me at the same time with the fortune to regain the use of my left arm, left leg and eyesight. What my stroke took from me though is my self-confidence, my strength, my will, my safety net. I am 38 now and I am extremely overweight at 5'4" I am weighing in at 270lbs. I have been afraid since my episode to do things- to hurt myself by falling or tripping. I am now on coumadin which is a blood thinner and that in itself has brought on the fear, the change in my life. Its hard to explain unless you have experienced what I have been through. My entire body aches from the weight. To me it is like another prison sentenced that has been given to me similar to my stroke. After my stroke I bought a fancy convertible car - a two seater. I love that car. It reminds me that I am alive. I made it. Or did I? What's left of me now is someone who can't fit in that car anymore. I watched the Biggest Loser for the first time this weekend. It was rerun marathon weekend for the show and I told myself, I will be on this show. There no doubt in my mind. I need help and this show provides not only an opportunity to drop the years from my prison sentence but to share my story and be the person I know I am... someone for everyone to really see and look up to. Sincerely, Mary Coulter Meriden, CT
