Daytime Emmy Awards and Camp Rock rocks

Cynthia is at the top of her game as the Television Blogger here at SheKnows. Don't touch that dial!

Daytime's brightest shine tonight

It's a night of glitz, glamour and Zac Efron hopefuls.

Daytime's brightest shine tonightFirst it was "Mobile Home Disasters" and now it's "Black Gold," the show about Texas oil drillers from TruTV. I know it doesn't sound much like "She TV," but think about it. Texas men, with muscles, taking off their shirts, sweating, getting dirty, risking their lives...yeah, it's a good thing. It's also really interesting, I swear, I don't just watch it for the men. (And did I mention how gorgeous the lead carpenter is on "Mobile Home Disasters"...)

I think we better move on to what's on.

tonight on TV

Speaking of hunky guys, ABC has the Daytime Emmy Awards tonight and that's followed by the new show, "MVP: He Shoots, She Scores."

CBS competes with reruns, one "Ghost Whisperer" and two "Numb3rs."

NBC has two "Most Outrageous Moments" then fills the night with "Dateline NBC."

FOX's movie is the remake of "Planet of the Apes" and The CW has "Smackdown."

Over on cable

So much stuff!

Start off with the premiere of Disney's "Camp Rock" that stars our favorite teen band, The Jonas Brothers. Animal Planet has a new "Meerkat Manor," and Food Network has a new "Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels."

E! has a fun lineup, A "True Hollywood Story" on Charlize Theron followed by "The Soup" and "Wildest TV Commercial Moments."

TLC has new episodes of "What Not to Wear" and "Ten Years Younger" and Travel has "Ecoluxe" paying a visit to an African lodge.

News and notable

The people who make "Project Runway" are looking to revive the 80's series, "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous."

Sarah Silverman and Norm McDonald have signed on for an updated version of "The Match Game."

And this one defies logic. "Gimme My Reality Show" will pit a group of unsuccessful D-list reality starts against each other to win...yes, their own reality show. When will the madness end?
