Idol finalists guest on Bones

"American Idol" finalists Brandon Rogers (Season Six) and Ace Young (Season Five) guest-star as an amateur club singers hoping to get a recording deal in next week's episode of "Bones."

"The Wannabe In The Weeds" episode was inspired by the "intense and really competitive" spirit of open mic nights in LA, said creator Hart Hanson to TV Guide. 

But lucky for Temperance Brennan, Simon Cowell won't be sitting in judgement when she takes the mic for her own version of "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."  What would his response be?  Likely a snappish, "don't quit your day job."

The episode airs Monday, May 12 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
