Lenny Kravitz was hurried to a Miami hospital Monday.
The singer had exhausted other treatment options and doctors felt overnight care in a hospital was the best course of treatment.
Kravitz has been treatmented for several respiratory tract infections in recent weeks coupled with a flu bug that the singer has not been able to shake since the middle of January.
Kravitz's spokeswoman confirmed the singer's condition and issued a statement with Lenny's latest:
"Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital," the statement read.
Kravitz has just released his latest record, "It's Time for a Love Revolution" and was set to begin a global tour.
SheKnows is set to speak with the singer in the coming weeks, stay tuned and we wish him well.
