Eddie Murphy’s “marriage” to Tracey Edmonds lasted a mere 14 days, and now we know why: Eddie may be nuts!

The couple had what they called a "spiritual ceremony" in Bora Bora that was never actually legalized. Mere days before the couple was to do so, Edmonds called the whole thing off because of Murphy's Jeckyll and Hyde behavior. Sources say Murphy became bossy and physically intimidating, and insisted that his mother come along on the honeymoon.

"That was kind of the last straw," said a friend of Edmonds. "She was happy to sign a prenup -- she has her own money. She was very accommodating. But then it was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Eddie became very controlling and they got into a huge fight. He started screaming at her and grabbed her. She was scared."

A good conversation with Mel C and the tranny Murphy picked up a few years back could have saved Edmonds a lot of trouble.
