The rumor mill just never leaves celebrities alone, even if there's nothing about them to talk about. By all evidence, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have a rock-solid relationship. Yet, they've been plagued lately by rumors that they're on the rocks. Luckily, they seem to have no problem weathering the rumors or shutting them down.
Earlier this week, Fisher posted a pretty innocuous shot to Instagram. It showed a sunset over a lake, with a Bible verse inscribed over the photo, reading, "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way of everlasting." Fisher captioned the post, "One of my new favorite verses because I need this reminder daily!"
But some of his followers seemed to take that as some kind of admission that there actually is trouble between him and Underwood. I guess I can kind of see how someone could arrive at that conclusion, but really, there's still no evidence of any trouble in paradise. And Fisher was quick to respond to the follower to point that out and set the record straight.
The comment read, "Praying for you and Carrie. Ignore the media! Hold tight to each other. There are always bumps in the road. Keep focusing on Jesus! He will guide you thru!"
Fisher's reply read simply, "That's not media. We've never been better. Thanks."
Good for him for shutting that down quickly. And all signs point to Fisher's comment being true. Since he announced his return to the NHL for the upcoming season, Underwood has gushed her support on social media. They seem happy, and as far from a breakup as can be.
