Wonder Woman Dominates the New Justice League Trailer

It's all about the girl power

It's about time superhero films realized that girl power sells.

At San Diego Comic-Con, DC introduced a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Justice League film, and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman takes the lead.

The four-minute trailer is currently the No. 1 video on YouTube, and for good reason. It starts with Wonder Woman kicking some serious ass before telling a colleague at work she did "nothing very interesting" over the weekend. Oh, Diana, so coy.

We also get to see her home island of Themyscira as well as her mother, Hippolyta, and villain Steppenwolf, which means Diana's storyline from Wonder Woman will continue to play out in Justice League.

Don't worry, you also get to see Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Ezra Miller as a surprisingly hilarious Flash. But one hero is missing: Superman (Henry Cavill), who "died" in Batman vs. Superman. He isn't shown at all, though the trailer alludes to Superman multiple times. I mean... obviously he's not dead dead, right?

Gadot assured fans that Superman's absence definitely doesn't mean the franchise forgot about him. "If you're a fan of Superman, you're going to be very, very happy," she said during the panel, according to Huffington Post.

It makes sense that Diana Prince would take the lead in this film. Superman is MIA, Batman is all moody, Aquaman is too new to the scene and Flash is too young. It's gonna be up to Diana to rally the troops.
