It was a big weekend for former cast members of Dancing with the Stars to get hitched. Not only did Julianne Hough tie the knot with Brooks Laich, but standout stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd also got married over the weekend. The ceremony looked absolutely magical, with fairy tale details like the wedding venue (it was in a castle) and Murgatroyd's dress (she basically looked like a Disney princess). You have to see the photos to believe the magic was real.
The pair were married at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York. The estate has been a popular wedding venue for decades now and provided some of the most gorgeous views for wedding photos (more on this in a moment). Among the 300 people in attendance were Murgatroyd's former DWTS partner, Nyle DiMarco, Sharna Burgess, Rumer Willis and Candace Cameron Bure. Us Weekly was able to get one reaction from Chmerkovskiy on the record: "It was everything we ever dreamt of." In addition, Murgatroyd commented that it was "the party of the year!"
The reason this wedding was so magical is quite evident from the photos coming from the wedding.
Murgatroyd walked down the aisle to the music of the Nutcracker Suite — "I danced ballet for 16 years, so it’s my favorite album," she explained. It definitely had everything you need for one of the most luxurious weddings of 2017. I mean, there was even a rainbow, people. It doesn't get more magical than that.
Can you even believe this dress? The setting? The rainbow? It's too perfect.
Of course it would be the case that two professional dancers make their first dance look easy, breezy and effortless.
Save me a slice? Pretty please?
Only a magical wedding could be capped with a rainbow.
Congrats to the happy couple!
