Lisa Marie Presley's family is still heavily involved in the Church of Scientology

Lisa Marie Presley has a lot going on right now — particularly her divorce from Michael Lockwood, which keeps getting more and more ugly. But Presley has not sought solace in the Church of Scientology, at least according to one source.

Tony Ortega, a Scientology expert who runs a blog keeping tabs on celebrities' involvement with the religion, told Page Six that Presley, who was once a member, has not returned to Scientology despite reports earlier this month saying she had.

"To the best of my information, Lisa Marie Presley is not back in [the church]," Ortega told the site. "She is going through a lot of trouble in her life right now. But she has not rejoined."

Presley's divorce has taken a number of ugly turns as she and Lockwood grapple over finances, and Lockwood faces accusations that police found "disturbing images of children" on his computer.

The entire Presley family has something of a history with Scientology. Lisa Marie Presley left the religion in 2014, though her daughter, Riley Keough, is still involved. Ortega says Keough is pretty bent on getting Presley to go back to the church. Presley's father, Elvis Presley, reportedly looked into Scientology and decided to give it a hard pass — after a visit to the celebrity-filled Scientology center in Los Angeles, Elvis' reaction was, "Fuck those people! There’s no way I’ll ever get involved with that son-of-a-bitchin’ group. All they want is my money," according to his friend Marty Lacker, who co-wrote his biography.

Still, Elvis' ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, was rumored to have given the church a share of his estate after he died. Other rumors say the Church of Scientology has been investing in new construction at Graceland.
