A battle may be brewing, but Scarlett Johansson just wants to be left alone during her divorce

Scarlett Johansson has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly three years, Romain Dauriac, but don't expect to hear details on the split from her.

Johansson released a statement to People magazine, saying that she will "never be commenting on the dissolution of [her] marriage" because she wants to protect the 2-year-old daughter she shares with Dauriac.

The statement continued, "As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage. Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same. Thank you."

But Page Six spoke with Dauriac's attorney to get details on a custody battle that could turn nasty. According to the site, Johansson is seeking full custody of their daughter, but Dauriac plans to fight that.

"He [Dauriac] would like to move to France with his daughter and Ms. Johansson does a lot of traveling," Dauriac's attorney, Harold Mayerson, explained.

Beyond that, Mayerson declined to comment further on the unfolding custody battle, saying only, "It will be an interesting process."

Since their split last summer, Johansson and Dauriac have had an informal shared custody arrangement in which their daughter alternated weeks with each of them. But a source told Page Six that Johansson wanted to change that schedule to accommodate her shooting schedule in New Zealand, and Dauriac balked.

"The kid was bouncing back and forth. It can’t work because [Johansson] travels so much," the insider said.
