Adele just totally broke the internet

For Cailyn Cox, writing isn't just a hobby, it's her life. Passionate about Hollywood, she makes it her mission to find the most entertaining celebrity gossip for SheKnows readers. And when she's not enthralled in the celeb world, she's ...

We're going to shed more than one tear when we bid farewell to Adele, and we aren't the only ones

From SheKnows UK

Adele doesn't just have an incredible set of lungs on her — she's also candid and relatable. So it's no surprise that so many people want to see her in concert.

More: Adele apparently has one rule at her concerts: cameras down

The award-winning singer recently wrapped up a massive world tour with over 107 dates worldwide in 10 months, leaving only a handful of show dates left for Australia next year. And the demand for these final shows is so great that Adele ended up breaking the internet. On Monday, Ticketek's and Ticketmaster's sites continually crashed, while the customer service lines were constantly engaged due to the overwhelming demand for tickets to see Adele live in concert next year.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that tickets for Adele's upcoming concert in Melbourne were sold out in just 30 minutes, meaning that 2,000 tickets were sold per minute. Wow.

Seeing Adele in concert is more of a priority than ever due to the fact that she recently announced her decision to take a massive 10-year break from the stage. According to The Sun, Adele wants to take time away from the road to focus on her 4-year-old son, Angelo (who she shares with longtime partner Simon Konecki) because he'll be starting school next year, and therefore, will no longer be able to accompany her while she's touring.

"Angelo is the number one priority for Adele," a source told the newspaper, adding, "He is the most important thing in her life. Adele doesn't want to miss a moment of Angelo growing up and it's an easy decision for her to give up touring for him."

And it's clear that the boy and his mama share a very special bond, because upon returning from her last show on the North American leg of her tour in Phoenix, Arizona, Adele was welcomed by a very special message — which she shared with fans on Instagram.

The sweet message simply read, "Mummy you did it!!!" and Adele shared her thoughts on this in the caption. Speaking of finishing up her shows, she said, "I bloody smashed it, even if I do say so myself." She thanked fans for their special support: "You lot have been incredible, every night you've been so beautiful, loving and engaged."

She then went on to thank those closest to her, "My band and my crew you made the whole thing turn. And my beautiful family made it easy for me to do."
