Forget politics, the state dinner was all about Michelle Obama's glamour

As much as we'll hate to see President Obama leave office this year, the loss of Michelle Obama as our classy FLOTUS is what's going to really hurt — and we were just reminded of this sad fact while keeping up with tonight's White House state dinner in honor of Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

The guest list for the Obamas' final state dinner read like a who's who of Hollywood: Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, John Turturro and Gayle King are just a few of the celebs who were invited, in addition to the usual political notables.

(Side note: Frank Ocean looked especially dapper and brought his mom as his date. Adorable.)

The first lady stayed within the Italian theme by donning a rose gold chainmail Versace gown, and to say she looked drop-dead gorgeous might be the understatement of President Obama's entire reign. The elegant Mrs. Obama commanded the attention of everybody within eyeshot.

Of course, Twitter was blowing up with approval.

Honestly, she's a goddess.

The only thing more powerful than Mrs. Obama's grace at her final state dinner is the fact that the president still looks at her with the same love in his eyes as he did at their first, as one Twitter user pointed out.

Ugh, you guys. All I want for Christmas is four more years with the Obama administration.
