Alicia Keys is The Voice's best judge yet

Passionate about dance, Stephanie's love of reality television and celebrity entertainment began with "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance." She has since discovered the wonders of the "Real Housewives," the Kardashia...

Alicia Keys brings the perfect mix of passion and eloquence to The Voice

The Voice has had its fair share of talented judges over the years, but Alicia Keys is arguably the best. I haven't even seen her in a coaching capacity, and I'm already certain that she'll make a huge difference for the artists lucky enough to be on her team. She really cares about the musicians on this show — and that makes all the difference!

Keys' impressive abilities as a judge and coach have been evident all season, but they were especially on display tonight, when she impressed several people on social media with her big smile and inspiring words. She has a way of bringing a smile to the face of every contestant. Yes, every coach is going to try to butter up his or her favorite musicians in hopes of landing the best possible team, but Keys also has great feedback for those who don't make the cut. Whether her remarks are positive or critical, she gives contestants the constructive criticism they need, while still making them feel as if they can achieve anything as long as they work hard.

Even when Keys says something not particularly profound, she manages to make the critique super inspiring and meaningful. For example, when Whitney and Shannon wowed the judges with a wonderful cover of "Landslide," Keys told them that they are the "voice of the future." It's a standard compliment on this show, but for some reason, it really means something coming from Keys! Even more meaningful, however, was when Keys promised that, should she join the gals, they would "bust through those stereotypes" together. This clearly resonated with the sisters, who, after a bit of deliberation, chose Keys as their coach.

Keys had no trouble filling up her team, to the point that she had to pass on a few talented singers. Still, despite missing out on these contestants, things look promising for the new judge. She's snagged a few of the show's most promising musicians, and she has all the makings of a great mentor. Those fortunate enough to work with Keys are bound to achieve their full potential under her instruction. I can't wait to see (and hear) what Team Alicia has to offer!
