Someone royal has babies on the brain.
Now that Kate Middleton and Prince William's kids George and Charlotte are 3 and 16 months, respectively, it sounds like the royal couple is ready for another baby. A family friend told Us Weekly this week that they "want a third baby soon," adding, "It would not surprise me if they were pregnant by Christmas."
As of now, though, it's business as usual for the royal couple, who are headed on an official visit to Canada from Sept. 24 to Oct. 1. If they are planning another baby, they'll have to adjust their schedules once Middleton becomes pregnant, the source said, because she's suffered from acute morning sickness with both of her pregnancies.
The source said they're also eyeing their upcoming schedule to make sure they can be careful of the spreading Zika virus should Kate become pregnant soon — the virus can cause birth defects when contracted by a pregnant woman.
They certainly have room for another baby — the family friend says the other two kids "are living as normal lives as possible" at the family's 10-bedroom mansion in Norfolk. The insider says George has a collection of Matchbox cars — "He’s obsessed with anything with an engine" — and Charlotte just wants to be wherever her mom is — "If Kate is in the study, Charlotte wants to be in the study."
With their two kids getting a little older, apparently Middleton and Prince William think the timing is right to add to their family.
"I think they both would have been overwhelmed at the thought of a third child a year ago, but now it sounds perfect," an insider revealed. "They've both always wanted a big family."
