Justin Bieber threatened to quit Instagram last week — and bid farewell to his 77.9 million Instagram followers — and it looks like he's made good on his threat. But was the reason due to the hate from fans because of the new woman in his life; or did he tire of fighting with ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez?
What we do know is that Bieber made a pretty dramatic exit on Monday evening, but not before some very explosive cheating allegations were made. According to reports, Gomez first commented on Bieber's post (in which he urged his fans to stop hating on his rumored new girlfriend, Sofia Richie) telling him not to be mad at his fans, but things got very personal after their back-and-forth resulted in cheating allegations.
"Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love," Gomez reportedly wrote. And Bieber wasn't going to let this comment slide because he reportedly accused Gomez of being shady — with none other than One Direction's bad boy, Zayn Malik.
"I cheated… Oh I forgot about you and Zayn?" retorted Bieber, reportedly.
There's clearly a problem with abuse on social media, as celebrities are bombarded with negative comments daily, which pick apart everything from their looks to who they've been spending their time with. We have to applaud Bieber, the sixth most popular Instagram user in the world, for walking away from it all.
But fans aren't taking his exit too well.

Actually, the news has come as such a shock to some that they're even calling in sick to work (we're pretty sure this is a joke).

So, what if you want to check out Bieber's Instagram page? Unfortunately, up until the time of publication the only thing you can see is a very sad message: "Sorry, this page isn't available."
