Tyga's arrest warrant will be canceled after he and his former landlord reach an agreement

It sounds like he still needs to get his priorities straight, but for the time being, Tyga is out of legal trouble. His arrest warrant will be canceled now that he and his former landlord have reportedly agreed on a settlement over money Tyga owed for a Malibu property he rented back in 2012. Tyga skipped out on a court date and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest, but the landlord's attorney confirmed that a confidential settlement has been reached this week and Tyga is off the hook.

The rapper apparently broke his lease early on the property and failed to pay a month of rent — which, at $16,000 a month, wasn't exactly affordable for most people. But hey, it's not like someone forced Tyga to choose this particular mansion over more humble living accommodations.

The landlord claims that Kylie Jenner's on-off boyfriend left the apartment in pretty bad shape after installing a stripper pole in the bedroom, disconnecting the intercom system and damaging the shower, hardwood floors and gate opener. The total damages came out to $480,285 — an amount Tyga claimed he couldn't pay because of poverty, which is an excuse that doesn't hold up in court after you go and buy your girlfriend a new $200,000 Mercedes-Maybach for her 19th birthday, as Tyga did earlier this week.

More: If you thought Tyga was going to propose to Kylie Jenner, think again

Jenner has been celebrating her birthday in the Turks and Caicos Islands with friends this week, and rumor has it that Tyga skipped his court hearing to temporarily live in the lap of luxury alongside her. That little detail, along with the fact that Tyga splurged on a wildly expensive gift for Kylie without first settling his own debt, might lead you to believe that the rapper still has a lot to learn about responsibility.

The good news is that some of this drama is behind him and that Tyga has agreed to fork over whatever amount of money the landlord needs to make this legal hassle go away. The landlord's attorney made it pretty clear that Tyga would be forced to pay up in any way he could — even if that means returning luxurious gifts or money he has doled out to other people. Luckily for Kylie, another wildly expensive car is just a drop in the bucket, and she won't miss her hot ride one bit. A better gift for the teen would be a boyfriend who handles his business and responsibilities.
