No Time-Turner required for Ron Weasley to meet his future self, at least in this case.
Harry Potter fans can't get enough of a series of photos just released on Twitter showing Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, meeting Paul Thornley, who plays a (much older) Ron Weasley in the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a follow-up story co-written by J.K. Rowling to tell the story of Harry Potter's son many years after the seven-book series was set.
Grint wasn't the first former Harry Potter star to make it to London's West End to see the play, though the star of the series, Daniel Radcliffe, hasn't made it to a showing yet. Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the films, has seen the show, as well as Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny, and Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix Lestrange.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, written by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, premiered July 30 after nearly two months of previews at London's Palace Theatre. A book based on the play has just been publicly released.
