Britney Spears is enjoying some much-deserved rest and relaxation on her vacation in Hawaii, and she's been happy to share photos of her trip with fans. However, one of her latest posts has been getting a lot of negative attention.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Spears posted a topless photo of herself on a yacht as she looks out into the distance. She captioned the photo with, "Still dreaming a mile a minute..." a lyric from her single "Make Me." But rather than focus on the many positive aspects of the picture (she looks amazing, her life is in a great place, Hawaii is basically a dream destination) critics have been quick to judge her body — and it really needs to stop.
"Horrible," indiometra wrote. And daza_victor shared the same thoughts, writing, "Horrible!"
"I would not post this pic! You look short, plus on this pic your legs look shorter then your body what it's not so nice! And change bikini ..." ssolonych commented. While anete_love2004 also criticised Spears' body, writing, "You literally have NO butt."
"...stop posting those so-called "meaningful" or "beautiful" pics, they are ridiculous and pathetic," lvccwhatsup commented.
That's not to say everyone is hating. There are some positive comments on the picture too, with fans applauding Spears for working so hard to get back into shape.
Spears is no stranger to flaunting her body on social media, and we doubt that the negativity is going to stop her from uploading another great bikini shot in the future, but all the criticism must really get tiring.
