Whoa, we're pretty sure Chase wasn't suppose to share any Bachelor spoilers

JoJo got rid of Chase on The Bachelorette, but he may not be gone for good

The Bachelorette franchise is having a hard time keeping secrets this season. First, Jordan Rodgers’ brother spilled the beans on this season’s winner, and now Chase McNary has announced that he is in talks to become the next Bachelor.

McNary spoke to Entertainment Tonight to explain his next steps. He said, “The discussions are there. But I don’t know — there’s a lot of weight there.”

While on The Bachelorette, McNary took a while to open up to JoJo Fletcher. He admittedly has a lot of trouble telling women when he loves them, so he might not be the ideal Bachelor and he knows it. He said, “There [are] a lot of expectations, and I’m not scared of it… but I definitely want to make the smart decision and the right decision before I totally accept that position.”

If he wants the spot, though, McNary should let the producers know ASAP because he’s not the only one in the running. Luke Pell, who was sent home the week before McNary, is also considering the possibility of becoming the next Bachelor. And he’s much more enthusiastic.

Pell said, “It’s a possibility. I definitely would not pass on it!”

It would be terrible to have McNary lose his opportunities again because he wasn’t quick enough to tell someone what he wants, but it looks like it might be happening.

The one factor neither Pell nor McNary are considering is the man who Fletcher doesn’t pick in Monday night’s finale. If Rodgers or Robby Hayes, the other finalist, wants to be the next Bachelor, they may get first pick and leave both Pell and McNary to find love on their own.

For now, the producers might want to focus less on who the next Bachelor will be and more on how they keep their current cast from spilling all their secrets.
