Lindsay Lohan's tributes to Nice literally make no sense at all

Mckenna is the girl you want on your trivia team for her vast knowledge of early 2000s pop culture. She's an avid YouTube subscriber and loves all things Content Marketing. On occasion she's been known to spontaneously move to a differen...

And just when she was starting to win us back, Lindsay Lohan ruins it with Nice tribute

When tragedy strikes, it’s hard to know exactly what to say. Unless you’re President Obama, nothing you say is going to make a huge impact. Still, it’s comforting when celebrities use their platform to spread positive messages. Unfortunately, Lindsay Lohan is not one of those celebrities.

Lohan posted a photo to her Instagram that showed her posing in sexy silk lingerie on a bed, which on its own is not that big of a deal. We’ve seen her in worse states. But she used that sexy picture of herself as a way to talk about the tragic events that happened in Nice, France.

I told you, it makes no sense.

Her caption read, "If history were to be folded Where would we put the crease? Pray for the ones we lose everyday and appreciate every breathe you we all take #nice #turkey #turnup and do something (goodnight and sleep with an idea for the future)."

All I can say is that we really dodged a bullet keeping her from becoming the voice of this generation.

The quote Lohan posted is a popular billboard in the U.K. at the moment, which basically means when we talk about history, some of it is going to go unseen. We all have a responsibility to make sure what’s hidden in the crease isn’t the important stuff. It is a powerful sentiment, but it’s definitely not Lohan’s.

What any of this has to do with her sitting on a bed in lingerie is beyond me. But it’s clear that she’s just looking for attention and likes on her Instagram. There’s really no other explanation for putting the "turn up" hashtag in a post about an attack. If it wasn’t so ridiculous and desperate, it would be offensive.

Fans on her Instagram wasted no time calling her out for being insensitive and really confusing. Commenters basically told her to make an appropriate tribute, or don’t make one at all.

Since Lohan hasn’t taken the image down, it seems clear that she doesn’t mind the criticism nor does she care if any of us find it offensive, which is either admirable or delusional; I’ll let you decide.
