Tom Hiddleston makes up for his awkward Taylor Swift interview by being amazing with his fans

It may seem like some people (cough cough, Tom Hiddleston) are too hot to have those awkward moments that make all of us ~normal people~ cringe. Good news for us, the awkward masses, however: Tom Hiddleston just gave an interview that will make all of us cringe together.

The awkward bits of the otherwise normal interview centered around Hiddleston's budding romance with Taylor Swift. When reporters caught him outside of the hotel where he was staying in Australia, of course they had questions about Swift, who reportedly traveled down under with him.

First, he was asked, "How's Taylor enjoying the beautiful Gold Coast?"

Hiddleston got super awkward as he stammered out his answer.

"Um…I…er…I’m…I’m not going to answer that if that’s alright," he replied.

Next, a reporter asked him, "What are you and your girlfriend looking forward to doing on the Gold Coast?"

His muttered response: "I don’t know. It’s just good to be back."

Finally, he was asked if Swift is "the one." As awkward as ever, Hiddleston giggled and replied, "I’d rather just talk about my work, if that’s alright."

Though Swift and Hiddleston have been photographed together kissing on a beach, meeting each other's families and traveling the world together over the last month, neither of them seems willing to speak about their budding relationship. It's sparked rumors that it's not real and they're faking it for some reason, and this interview is definitely not going to be squashing those.

Luckily, Hiddleston made up for his ridiculous awkwardness by ending the interview by hugging and posing with fans, including one whose family drove hours to meet him. Good thing he's so adorable with his fans, so we can remember that instead of how cringe-worthy he is talking about his supposed girlfriend.
