Jinger Duggar is the latest member of the famous family to announce that she's courting, which is Duggar-speak for a religion-approved method of dating in which the soon-to-be lovebirds get to know each other before they get hitched. The name of Jinger's potential suitor is probably going to be familiar to certain sports fans — she's courting pro soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.

Jinger and Vuolo told People magazine that they met more than a year ago, but since meeting last May, they've "had the opportunity to go on a missions trip together," Jinger said. She added, "It was there that I really saw his heart and really admired his character."

Vuolo was apparently close to a few of the other Duggars, and that's how he and Jinger were introduced.

"I was initially friends with Ben Seewald and Jessa [(Duggar) Seewald], and it was through them that I got to meet Jinger," he explained. "We are very excited to begin this journey together."

Vuolo has been close to Jessa and Ben for some time, and often appears in videos that Jessa shoots for her YouTube channel, so he's no stranger to being in front of the camera. That's good news, because People reports that his courtship with Jinger will be a big part of the next season of Counting On, which airs later this summer.

Vuolo, who has been a pro soccer player for most of his adult life, actually left the sport soon after college to pursue ministry. He signed with the San Antonio Scorpions in 2013 and has been back in the game since then.

He also seems to take his faith seriously, something the Duggars are pretty insistent about. His bio on explains that he believes his "identity is found in the person of Jesus Christ — who He is, what He did for me, and the unconditional love He has shown for me."
