It’s really only a matter of time before all the contestants in the Bachelor universe have dated each other. Today, Life and Style, reported that current Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher is helping them move one step closer toward that day. Fletcher apparently had a fling with Bachelor in Paradise star Marcus Grodd.
Technically, it was years before either considered doing the show, but it still counts. The source revealed that, “They dated seven or eight years ago after getting set up by friends.” Apparently, because they both lived in Texas and had mutual friends, one of them thought it might be a match.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how much you love the shows), the two didn’t hit it off romantically but did remain friends. While neither expressed their interest in the shows to each other at the time, it’s funny how they both ended up part of it.
Grodd fell in love with Lacy Faddoul on the first season of Bachelor in Paradise and the two exchanged vows in the premiere of Season 2 in Mexico. The couple then announced that after less than a year, they’ve already split up!
Grodd did confirm, however, that their nuptials in Mexico were only ceremonial and not legal, so the couple won’t have to go through any nasty divorce papers.
And Fletcher, of course, suffered immense heartbreak as the final girl to be denied a rose during Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor. After nursing her heartbreak, Fletcher has come back to start her own quest for love on The Bachelorette. She hasn’t declared love yet, but she’s got some great hopefuls including Aaron Rodgers' younger brother, Jordan, and her very own James Taylor.
She’s also got a very angry meathead named Chad, who will definitely start some drama next Monday night! I guess by my excitement that puts me in the group of people who are happy that Fletcher and Grodd didn’t work out!
