Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's every action has been reported since the pair announced that they would be divorcing after 15 months of marriage, and the public has been given a glimpse into their private lives as all the details of their tumultuous relationship have been revealed.
But, given the circumstances, Depp is reportedly doing very well.
Depp is currently spending time on his private island in the Bahamas — the same island where he and Heard got married — where, according to People, a source revealed that he appears to be happy.
"Johnny is doing OK," a source told the publication. "He likes retreating to his private island whenever he can. He hasn't been there for a while and really seems happy being there now."
The source adds, "He wants to see his kids, but otherwise he isn't looking forward to returning [to L.A.]. He doesn't seem too worried about court though. He has an excellent lawyer who is taking care of things."
Depp has reportedly been taking some time out and has been on the island since last week, after he completed his final European tour date with his band, the Hollywood Vampires, in Romania. But even though Depp isn't in the country, he most recently made headlines (again) when Heard called the cops claiming that he had violated his restraining order.
Things between Heard and Depp continue to escalate, but he is expected to be back in Los Angeles on Wednesday ahead of Friday's court hearing, which, according to People, will determine whether to extend Heard's temporary restraining order.
