After Amber Heard filed for divorce and was granted a domestic violence restraining order against Johnny Depp, much of the internet has jumped to Depp's defense, victim-blaming Heard and trending #ImWithJohnny.
I don't believe Amber, the nite of the "assault" cops were called and they didn't see ANY sign of abuse. She just wants $ #imwithjohnny— Yoalli Cuevas (@Yoalli1993) May 28, 2016

Depp's daughter, Lily-Rose, a 17-year-old actor and model, also jumped to Depp's defense. She posted a throwback photo on Instagram with the caption, "My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same."
After receiving many negative comments on the picture, she posted this screenshot from a People article.
Lily-Rose's comments only stand to make the victim-blaming Heard is experiencing worse than it already is. We ask women to speak up about domestic violence, but when they do, no one believes them.
Depp is arguably one of the most famous actors of our time. However, he has had run-ins with the law in the past. He was arrested on charges of criminal mischief back in 1994 after trashing an expensive hotel room while allegedly fighting with then-girlfriend Kate Moss. In 1999, during his relationship with Vanessa Paradis, he was arrested for drunkenly fighting and threatening a photographer in London.
While some fans jumped to the beloved actor's defense, others stood up for Heard by trending #ImWithAmber.
just because Johnny Depp is loved by millions, it does NOT mean he couldn't have possibly abused someone. #imwithamber— bethanaeeeee |-/ (@bethyvictoriax) May 29, 2016
