Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson are still in the honeymoon phase of their marriage, and the pair love sharing their affections online.
However, not all fans are pleased to see Simpson's latest goofy picture of herself and Johnson, which she uploaded to Instagram on Sunday. The post shows the pair touching tongues during their date night, and while they are not shy about getting touchy-feely, some have branded the snap as "classless" and "gross."
This is not the first time Simpson has come under fire for her raunchy comments and/or photos with her husband — and we don't think it will be the last — but critics feel that pictures, like this one, should be kept private.
"She tries too hard w [sic] the pda with her hubby no one cares to see this," jenlynette1 wrote.
Mrscunningham75 shared similar thoughts, writing, "Wow, somebody needs attention. Nothing wrong with being silly and playful with your husband but to put this out for everyone to see. Classless."
"Gross pic, and I'm not jealous," erikahollyjanzen commented. "This is just a gross pic."
Others are even more annoyed with the post and comments include, "Very disturbed and vain couple. Who needs to see this??!", "Someone takes these scissors and stab me in the eyes please!!!", and "That's disgusting."
It's obvious that Simpson just wants to prove she and Johnson can still have fun and goof around, and really, the fact they are so happy should be applauded, not criticized. But do critics have a point? Should PDA pictures be kept private?
