Michaela and Brandon Keilen may still be settling into married life as newlyweds, but that doesn't mean the couple isn't anxious to start a family.
Tonight's episode of Bringing Up Bates saw some of the family, including Bates matriarch Kelly Jo, travel to Chicago to visit Brandon and Michaela after their return from their honeymoon.
The newlyweds had settled into their apartment on the outskirts of Chicago and, though their new home is small, the two managed to make it cozy. They even have this horrible leopard print chair that they snuggle up in together for Bible study time!
Of course, the Bates family, especially Carlin, gave it their best effort to get the couple to ditch the chair, the sentimental value ended up overriding the fact that it's a pretty big eyesore in the room.
Aside from giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at their married life, Brandon and Michaela also recently talked with the Knoxville News Sentinel about their experience as newlyweds so far.
"It's definitely different from being at home at a farm in the mountains, but I'm loving it," Michaela explained. "It's definitely an adjustment. The cold's very new, but I love married life. We've found a church that we just love, and it's been great."
Michaela and Brandon definitely had a more traditional dating process. Unlike a lot of 20-somethings today who date, then live together and sleep together prior to getting engaged and married, Michaela and Brandon shared their first kiss ever at their wedding and the two were chaperoned during their dates.
As for baby news, "I wish I could tell you that we had good news, but we don't yet."
Still, if those words "wish" and "yet" are any indication, Michaela and Brandon are looking forward to starting a family in the near future, so baby news could definitely be on its way for the couple.
Of course, I'm honestly not sure if they could fit another person, even a tiny baby, inside their apartment, but I'm sure they'll figure it out when the time comes.
