After a hiatus that lasted far too long, NeNe Leakes is back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Although this was not the first season 8 episode in which she was featured, she attracted plenty of attention by throwing shade and making several hilarious observations. The following are just a few of the many reasons why RHOA is better with NeNe Leakes.
One of the reasons so many people love to hate NeNe Leakes is that she knows how to give the perfect backhanded compliment or outright insult. Whether she's in the midst of an all-out fight or simply chatting with one of her frenemies, Leakes knows how show her fellow Housewives that, no matter how long she's gone, she's always the queen bee of RHOA.
One of the best moments of tonight's episode involved Leakes showing Kim Fields how to throw shade. Leakes believes that every woman should be able to make sarcastic quips about friends and foes alike. Her shade lessons may eventually come back to haunt her, but that won't stop her from showing Fields how it's done.
There's nothing quite like hearing NeNe Leakes describe herself in the third person. This is one of those small things that people really missed while she was gone and are so glad to witness now that she's back. Even better, however, is when Leakes mentions her alter ego NayNay.
Phaedra Parks comes across as incredibly fake in her interview segments, Cynthia Bailey is boring, and the other ladies aren't much better. Leakes, on the other hand, knows how to keep viewers amused, even when she's the only person being filmed. All she needs to do is make a funny face, and she immediately has viewers in stitches.
NeNe Leakes is one of the most divisive Housewives, but, while she's caused plenty of rifts between her fellow reality stars, she still manages to make the RHOA cast feel like a true group, as opposed to a random assortment of gals. For this reason, many viewers want her back for good. These fans were all too happy to speak out on Twitter during this week's episode.
