The news of LuAnn de Lesseps' engagement isn't even a week old yet, and there's already drama! But what else do you expect from the ladies of The Real Housewives of New York?
It all started on Monday when castmate Bethenny Frankel was a guest on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM radio show, Radio Andy. Frankel dropped the news that Thomas d'Agostino, Jr., dated Ramona Singer before proposing to de Lesseps. It didn't take long for Singer to add to the conversation in her signature style — as passive-aggressively as humanly possible.
Singer said, "Yes, I did date him, but we just didn’t have any chemistry. I do think he's a very nice guy." She went on to say, "Now that I'm single again, I'm realizing just how small the dating pool is and how funny it is that LuAnn and I overlapped."
That's innocent enough, right? Especially from resident pot stirrer Ramona Singer. Just wait for it.
In her next breath, Singer recalled, "In December, LuAnn told me she met the man she was going to marry two weeks ago. Little did I know it was Tom! I myself would never get engaged so quickly — but what do I know about marriage the second time around?"
Told you it was coming.
Singer, who split from her husband of 20 years, Mario Singer, back in January 2014, ended by saying that her co-star looks genuinely happy and she wishes them both well. But it just doesn't seem genuine, does it?
No word yet on whether de Lesseps will let this snide remark roll off her back or fire back. Seems like she'd be better off just enjoying her time with her fiancé than getting involved with more drama. Either way, I'm sure this isn't the last we'll hear of this strange "overlap"!
