Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans is spending some time in New York City, but it is far from a glamorous vacation.
Evans is in the Big Apple for some pretty serious medical tests, it turns out.
"She went to get an MRI," a source told Radar Online. "[That's] why she is in NYC."
And it sounds like those tests could be for something pretty serious. Evans addressed the trip herself in an Instagram post, and shared a scary detail.
"If you all MUST know why I'm here, like I said up here for medical reasons," she wrote, while the photo itself was captioned, "Time for this MRI of my spine and brain."
Last week another source told Radar Online that Evans was secretly hospitalized after experiencing some scary physical symptoms of what she fears is a major disease.
"Jenelle is in the hospital right now and has been in and out all week. She doesn't know what's wrong," the insider said. "Her nerves are all messed up in her body and she has restless leg syndrome and can hardly walk. She has shortness of breath and loss of coordination and balancing when walking."
"She's having hot flashes like insane and overload in every sense of her body. She feels like she has arthritis in her knees."
"Jenelle doesn't think it's stress-related. The other hospital said it was anxiety, but they ran simple blood tests and Jenelle told them they were wrong, and to take a thyroid test on her. They refused and discharged her and sent her home."
It sounds like Evans finally got an OK to head to another hospital for some real tests.
But is hasn't been just doom and gloom in NYC for Evans — by the looks of things, she managed to get some fun in, too.
Evans has not revealed when she expects the results of her tests, or what doctors are looking for.
