Kristin Cavallari hospitalized after scary car accident

Kristin Cavallari’s run of bad luck continues with a car crash

Kristin Cavallari has been hospitalized following a harrowing car accident today.

Cavallari was traveling in a car that was struck by another vehicle near Chicago on Thursday, sources confirmed to TMZ. While her injuries are not life-threatening, she did reportedly suffer a dislocated elbow.

It is unclear whether or not Cavallari was driving, but if she was, we sincerely hope she was not wearing these shoes she posted on Instagram earlier today. While they are gorgeous, they are not a great idea to wear while behind the wheel.

None of Cavallari's three children — sons Camden and Jaxon or infant daughter Saylor — were in the car at the time of the accident, luckily. Her husband Jay Cutler was spotted arriving at the hospital shortly after she was admitted.

Cavallari has not been having an easy time of it lately. While she should be happily celebrating the arrival of her daughter, her joy was short-lived when her brother Michael went missing just weeks afterward. He was later found dead of exposure in Utah after he tried to walk for help when his car went off the road.

But brighter days may still be ahead. Her book Balancing in Heels, a memoir of marriage, motherhood and career, will be released in two months.

"It's basically an intimate look at my life," she told E! News last year. "It's going to be a lot of fashion and beauty. Because I'm such a big health nut, it's also going to be health and fitness. And then a lot of recipes because I love to cook and a lot of mommy and wife stuff. So really just everything in my life... and I think it's just a great way for my fans to connect with me."

We wish Cavallari a speedy recovery!
