88th Oscars may be Leonardo DiCaprio's time to shine: Signs point to success for actor and The Revenant

Awards season is upon us, and while the Golden Globes presented its fair share of surprises, we are expecting even more from the 88th Annual Oscars.

Will Leonardo DiCaprio finally take home a much-deserved Oscar? Or will Eddie Redmayne be victorious for the second year in a row? And can we expect any delightful side eye moments (like the hilarious exchange between Lady Gaga and DiCaprio)?

Well, we'll have to wait until Feb. 28, before we get those answers — the awards show will be held at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California, on that date — but the nominations for the prestigious awards are officially in.
