When the show returns, we will see all the Liars — Aria (Lucy Hale), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and, of course, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) — back in action. Only, it will be five years in the future.
Things were looking bright for our favorite couples when the show ended: Charlie/Charlotte was finally revealed as CeCe Drake and it seemed like the Liars' troubles were finally over.
Not just that, but the couples seemed to be secure. Spencer and Toby, Caleb and Hanna, Emily and Alison, and Ezra and Aria all seemed to have a hopeful future together, much to fans' approval.
But the show seems to be securing the downfall of them all with the introduction of new characters and story lines that are going to throw major curveballs into every desired happily ever after.
Spencer may or may not be sleeping with Caleb. Toby and Caleb's bromance may have blossomed into full-on frenemies. Hanna is engaged to some new guy, which means no more Haleb. Alison is married to a dude named Elliot, so there go our Emison dreams.
Oh, and now that we know about some new characters who will be introduced, even Ezra and Aria aren't safe from un-coupledom.
Case in point? Meet Liam Greene.
According to TV Line, Liam is an editorial assistant in Boston who works with Aria.
And Aria isn't the only one with a new romantic interest. Ezra also has someone else. TV Line reports that he will follow a girl named Nicole down to South America. But Ian Harding, who plays Ezra, revealed that the relationship is "taken away from [Ezra] very quickly and very violently."
Could this Nicole be the same Nicole who we met earlier in Season 6? And if so, then what does his relationship with her mean for Ezria? It can't be anything good.
Pretty Little Liars Season 6B will premiere Jan. 12.
