Pretty Little Liars might continue after Season 7 in an unexpected way

Sarah grew up in Monterey, CA and now lives in Los Angeles. When she's not writing, you can find her enjoying a good book, fine wine, sunflowers and long walks on the beach.

Pretty Little Liars could be coming to you bigger than ever if I. Marlene King has her way

To all the Pretty Little Liars fans who have been living in fear that Season 7 will be the show's last: Have no fear, because we just received definitive proof that PLL might just live on forever.

That's right: Spencer, Hanna, Aria and Emily are all set to be immortalized on the big screen, according to showrunner I. Marlene King.

"We've got some really great ideas for a PLL movie, but that won't happen right after the series ends," King said during Good Morning America's recent "40 for 40" livestream, via E! News. "I think we'll take a little break and let everybody go off and do a few things and hopefully we'll come back together again and do something really special."

I guess we should say Spencer, Hanna, Aria and Emily are all set to be on the big screen — if they don't die. Theories are definitely flying that a major character will be killed off in Season 6B, due in large part to some more intel King spilled to MTV News, detailing how Big Bad is out for revenge and will take down multiple people to meet their goal.

The movie news is sure to be music to the ears of PLL fans, who have been bombarded with quotes form cast members saying Season 7 will be the last Pretty Little Liars season ever. The show in movie form might be the perfect consolation prize for the series coming to end.

In addition to the movie news, we also have the 5 Years Forward special to look forward to on Nov. 24, which will give us insight into what happened to the PLL characters during the five-year time gap between 6A and 6B, and hopefully answer our burning questions from the promo — like who the heck is Hanna kissing and why is Ezra so dang angry?

What do you think about a Pretty Little Liars movie? Amazing idea or totally lame?
