For Kim Richards, that certainly seems to be the case. The former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star sat down with fellow former Housewife Brandi Glanville to describe changes she's made to live what sounds like a much healthier lifestyle.
"Everything is good… it's a good time for me right now," she shared with listeners on Glanville's podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered. "I'm really happy things are going good."
It was a rough summer for Richards, who was busted for shoplifting around $500 worth of merchandise from a Los Angeles-area Target store. She also completed a stint in rehab for her alcohol addiction and was plagued by rumors of failing relationships with family members.
But now that she's left The Real Housewives behind, life seems to be a little simpler for Richards. Filming is already underway for the next season of the Bravo reality series, but neither Richards nor Glanville are returning this time, and for Richards, that decision seems to have been a healthy one.
"We were both saying it's relaxing for us and we're not so stressed out with everything that we would normally be stressed out with," Glanville said. "We wake up with smiles on our face and we don't have to deal with the drama."
Richards laughed and added, "Well, not every day. It's good. It's better now. It was a rough time for a bit there, but it's just putting everything back in order and just really focusing on my family and me."
Richards also contends that her relationships with her children and her ex-husband, Monty Brinson, are great and that a new mind-set is helping her stay healthy.
"Living in the present for me is just the best way and it's the only way for me today," she shared. "Realizing today is beautiful and I'm super grateful for right now and all who's in it."
