How well do you remember your Married with Children characters and quotes?

I can still clearly recall watching TV on our large picture tube on Sunday nights to unwind before the school week was about to start up again. We would watch Fox, as they had some of the best comedies on Sundays, such as The Tracey Ullman Show, In Living Color and The Simpsons.

The year was 1987, and Fox’s Sunday lineup became that much more real with a new dysfunctional family, the Bundys, that entered the fray with Married with Children being launched. Married with Children became a hit in our household for its over-the-top portrayal of 1980s family living.

Al Bundy was the 1980s version of Archie Bunker, with Al's wife, Peggy, being nothing like the subservient, sweet-natured, simple-minded Edith Bunker. Their kids, Kelly and Bud, were total opposites, with Kelly being the ditzy, trampy bleached-blonde older daughter, whereas Bud was the younger sibling who was definitely more brains, and less smooth moves with the ladies. The show was rounded out by the family’s nerdy neighbors, Marcy and Steve Rhoades, who truly had no clue what they were in for when they moved next door.

That was almost 30 years ago, and today we have a quiz for all those who were fans, to test their memory as to which of the characters said what.
