The penultimate Face Off makeup battle involved creating quirky characters based on a specific family trait — from the inappropriate uncle to the black sheep cousin. Even viewers were feeling the double elimination pressure.

"It's like George Jefferson zombie went on vacation," judge Glenn Hetrick said.
Judge Ve Neill gushed praise for the makeup creation, saying, "I have seen old men with noses just like that, heads just like that. I think you've done a really good job of capturing that texturing around those areas. He creeps me out something fierce."
"Splendid work; great character," Hetrick said. "I wish there was a nicer transition between the two colors to bring those dark tones into the light. But that's it. I love it."
"The concept is right on," Hetrick said. "But my big problem with it is the edges around the mouth and some of the coloring; it's blotches of color. It needs to be more well synthesized."
"It's different, and I love this color you chose," Neill said. "She is very cartoony, but my main concern is the fact that she is so reminiscent of so many of your other characters that you've done. You have to get a little bit more versatile with your looks because you won't have much range otherwise."
Hetrick felt like Jordan didn't take his work far enough. "The prosthetic sort of has its own proportions," he said. "The rest of the body doesn't. If you really stretch that head out, then all of a sudden that face wouldn't look so disproportionate to the rest of the body. The overall character would feel more like a cartoon."
"He's a great character, and he's got a fabulous comb-over," Neill said. "I really would've liked to have seen a little bit more color because he's just a little bit too petrified-looking. Maybe some highlights so that it would have shown off some more of your sculpting, because there's some great stuff going on in this."
Judge Neville Page suggested the character should have been given more of a "comedic edge."
Drum roll, please... the first person selected to move through to the finale was Ben. Second pick was Nora. But instead of selecting the third finalist immediately, a twist was tossed into the mix as the judges tasked Scott, Evan and Jordan with taking an additional hour to improve their makeups.
One hour for a spot in the finals - now there's a twist! #FaceOff— Lars Dalseide (@LDalseide) October 14, 2015
Here's a closer look at what each makeup looked like after that extra hour.
After reevaluating each makeup, the judges selected Evan as the third finalist. Sadly, that meant Jordan and Scott were eliminated. What a bummer! I really liked Jordan's brightly colored spinster aunt. I thought his work throughout the season was deserving of a final three spot. Some viewers expressed their disappointment on Twitter.
Hmm. Wrong choice #FaceOff judges, it should have been Scott.— Steven Lee (@SLee_OT) October 14, 2015

Wow I did not approve of that decision. But I guess it's subjective #FaceOff— Aldrich Collado (@ArtistAldrich) October 14, 2015
#FaceOff so disappointed with the judges picking Evan over Scott. The Zombie was so much better than the bull.— Ana G. Pineiro (@ART1170) October 14, 2015
That leaves us with three contestants heading into the finale: Evan, Ben and Nora.
