Man Crush Monday: Grey's Anatomy edition with McTasty Giacomo Gianniotti

Sarah grew up in Monterey, CA and now lives in Los Angeles. When she's not writing, you can find her enjoying a good book, fine wine, sunflowers and long walks on the beach.

Grey's Anatomy's newest cast member gives McSteamy and McDreamy a run for their money

Somebody call a doctor, because this Grey's Anatomy star is so hot, we're about ready to faint.

Giacomo Gianniotti is still fairly new to the Grey's world, but it only took a couple of episodes last season for us to get hooked and pray that Shonda Rhimes extends Dr. Andrew DeLuca's residency indefinitely.

Talk about hot! His name alone oozes sex appeal. The actor, who was born in Rome, Italy, but immigrated with his family to Toronto soon after and considers Canada home, has piqued our interest, to say the least.

Here's a little more about Gianniotti.

As evidenced by his roles on Selfie, Reign, The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe and Grey's, Gianniotti is clearly a skilled actor. He's only been active in the industry for about five years and has already managed to work up an impressive résumé, but, according to his Twitter account, Gianniotti also aspires to work behind the camera as a writer and a director.

It also appears that Gianniotti has a love for music.

And after watching him sing this ditty while playing the guitar in the video below, well, let's just say he's welcome to serenade us anytime he wants.

Can't stop playing this little diddy. Thank you @vancejoy for your incredible music. #whatiReallyDoInMyTrailer

His TV career may be in full bloom, but in 2012, Gianniotti graduated from Humber College's theater program and was totally focused on creating a name for himself on stage, according to Playback magazine. "It's not that I wasn't interested in Film and TV," he said. "I just didn't feel it was my thing."

After graduating from college, Gianniotti completed an actor's residency at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre in Toronto.

In addition to being a college man, Gianniotti is also bilingual: He's completely fluent in English and Italian.

Unless he's one of those Hollywood actors who is able to keep their personal lives totally under wraps, it appears that Gianniotti is single and ready to mingle at this point in his life. Hanging with his buddies and taking care of business when it comes to his career seem to be top priority.
