In an interview with E! News, Bella revealed, "He truly is my knight in shining armor. I definitely think [that] in the future, people will be surprised where we end up, because I'm seeing him more open to marriage. At least we're taking steps forward, and I honestly couldn't imagine my life without him."
The couple, who have been in a relationship for three years, has definitely had their fair share of trouble — most of it out there for the public to see, thanks to their reality show Total Divas. Cena has made appearances in all four seasons of the show.
The biggest obstacle for the two seems to be their disagreements over marriage and children.
Cena, who was previously married from 2009 to 2012 to Elizabeth Huberdeau, has been very up-front with Bella about the fact that he doesn't want to be married again. He also isn't interested in having kids. Both are things that seem to be important to Bella.
But despite those fundamental differences in the way they see their futures, the couple is clearly fighting to make the relationship work.
Bella opened up in the interview with E! about how they make it work, saying that the two make time to have a date night together at least once a week.
"He always puts on a suit, I put on a nice dress and we'll go to a nice dinner," Bella said.
She added, "No cell phones. We'll just have a bottle of wine and talk about our week. We sit there and communicate and it's like falling in love all over again every week."
