The 19 Kids and Counting star is thought to have checked into Reformers Unanimous, a faith-based rehabilitation center his parents have supported in the past. A private plane belonging to the Duggar family was seen landing in Rockford, Illinois — where Reformers is located — late at night, immediately prior to the family's announcement he would be receiving treatment, which is the strongest evidence he went there.
But did he really?
A witness claims that Duggar was nowhere to be seen during the center's mandatory prayer meetings at a local Baptist church, nor has he attended the required twice-weekly church services.
"Josh definitely wasn't there," the source told Radar Online. "It was very strange."
The center, which houses up to 40 men at once, charges a bargain-basement price of $7,500 for a six-month stay. "It is not a country club," Tony Richardson, director of development, told People. "It is like going to college, but I don't know if it is as nice as that."
He refused to comment on whether Duggar is in attendance, citing confidentiality.
Meanwhile, Jill Duggar posted a plea for prayers to her family blog with a vague reference to the latest scandal to hit the family.
"August has been a busy month for us and as so many of you know it has ended on a sad note for my extended family," she wrote. "Please do pray for our family. We are so thankful for God’s grace during difficult days."
