In a long, rambling but wildly entertaining speech at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, West announced he will run for president in 2020 — and his pledge caught the attention of the White House.
According to the Associated Press, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said he looks "forward to seeing what slogan [West] chooses to embroider on his campaign hat."
