On Saturday, Brandi Glanville was seen, as TMZ directly put it, looking "three sheets to the wind" outside of Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood, California. A video surfaced online (thanks, paparazzi!) of the reality TV star teetering on the sidewalk and falling while getting into a car — despite being escorted by a friend.
Then, after Brandi safely makes it into the passenger seat and the door is closed, she proceeds to make a series of strange faces and gestures at the dude who's filming her. In short: It's not a good look for Brandi, and I'm sure she was less-than-thrilled to see the video online when she woke up the next day.
This, of course, isn't the first (or second or third or 10th) time that the world has seen Brandi wasted, and at the end of the day, it isn't a huge deal. Brandi is, after all, a grown woman, and if she wants to let loose and have fun, that's her choice — even if it does appear to happen more often than not. Here's the thing, though: If Brandi is continuing to "let her hair down" so to speak (aka party, party, party), let's hope she's doing it far away from Kim Richards, who definitely shouldn't be around this kind of behavior right now.
As any Real Housewives fan knows, Kim doesn't appear to be doing so great right now. After checking into a rehab facility after her May arrest, Kim left after just one month (she was supposed to be staying for three). According to reports, Kim hasn't been to any of her outpatient therapy sessions or meetings with counselors, which, as anyone can see, doesn't bode well for her recovery. So, hanging out with Brandi right now — or anyone who likes to party — has to be one of the worst things Kim could do for her sobriety.
The status of Kim and Brandi's relationship right now seems to remain somewhat of a mystery. On this past season of RHOBH, the two women were basically inseparable, much to her sister Kyle's chagrin. Kim often stood up for Brandi (and vice versa), but since the show has wrapped, it's unclear if the two are still as tight as they were.
Brandi apparently visited Kim while she was in rehab and told Jenny McCarthy during a SiriusXM interview that she "wasn't shocked" after her buddy was arrested. However, she added, "I've never seen her drink or do a drug... I was just her friend, and I witnessed odd behavior, but I never saw her do anything."
Kim and Brandi's friendship was a hot topic during the last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with many people labeling their relationship "toxic." While it was nice seeing both Kim and Brandi having someone to lean on, it didn't exactly seem like the healthiest of relationships. And now, being that Kim is struggling with her alcohol addiction, it definitely doesn't seem like a good idea to hang out with Brandi, who clearly has no problem with having a few drinks.
At the end of the day, it seems like both women are fighting their own respective battles and could use the help of friends. But, they should probably find friendships outside of each other. Sometimes, two people just aren't meant to be in each other's lives, no matter how much fun they have together.
