Amber Rose took Blac Chyna as her date to BET Awards for a really great reason

This isn't the first time we've seen straight celebs smooching.

Female celebrities and entertainers have, in the past, used kissing on stage or on red carpets as a device to shock for no other reason than to garner attention.

On Sunday, on the red carpet of the BET Awards, we had another dynamic duo lock lips, but they did it, this time, to show solidarity and support for the historic same-sex marriage decision recently handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Amber Rose and BFF Blac Chyna went not as friends that night but as each other's dates. They even wore exactly the same thing and held hands. Rose posted, "Chyna @blackchyna and I went to the BET awards as each other's Date to celebrate Marriage Equality #LoveWins."

The couple for the night took it even further to give a full-on lip lock.

It appears that Rose and her gal pal truly understand the importance and immensity of this ruling.

Immediately following the decision, Rose voiced her support on Instagram, saying, "#LoveWins it's truly amazing to think about all of the changes we're able to see during our generation. When our children are grown they probably won't even believe that once upon a time Gays and Lesbians were unable to get married.

"It's like how we feel about women not being able to vote or the fact that slavery actually happened here in America smh. This is a great day for us as people! There's no downgrades or upgrades it's all about [love]."

We are living in exciting times, and like Rose, I am proud to be a part of this generation. There are still lots of problems in this world, but this is a big deal, and it was way cool of Chyna and Rose to show their support in this very public way.
