Us Weekly has learned that Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney, who play Daryl and Beth, respectively, sparked a romance after Kinney's character was shockingly killed in 2014.
"They had a connection early on in the show, but a romance developed recently. They're still pretty guarded about it," a source, who Us Weekly describes as "close to the duo," said.
Despite the fact that Kinney is no longer on the show, she and Reedus reportedly stayed in touch via text. The two also still make fan appearances together. In fact, they're scheduled to be at the Walker Stalker Con event in Florida on June 27 and 28.
Reedus also apparently goes to Kinney's music gigs to support her concerts. She has been focusing on her music career since ending her time on The Walking Dead.
"She always called him the sweetest guy on set," the source added.
Kinney even told us back in December that when she found out she was being killed off on the show, Reedus was one of the first people to reach out to her. "Everyone reached out, though I remember Norman texted me — he's so sweet."
Of course, it's important to note that the two actors are staying absolutely tight-lipped on their relationship status, but a rep for Reedus denied any of the romance rumors.
"We can confirm that they are not dating," the rep said.
We're still keeping our Beth and Daryl dreams alive by thinking that this news is real. But, you know, take it with a grain of salt.
