Both actors were struggling for cash in their early days. And both of them turned to stripping to make ends meet. In Pratt's case, though, it was a little more amateur than the nightclub scene where Tatum showed off his moves.
According to E! News, Pratt, who covers the July issue of Red Bulletin, spills all the details on the crazy jobs he worked when he was a struggling actor just starting out.
First, just after dropping out of college halfway through his first semester, Pratt became a discount ticket agent. It was short-lived, though, because it wasn't long before something better came along, the 35-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star told the publication — working as a "cheap Magic Mike," as he puts it.
According to the interview, it wasn't the most lucrative gig — stripping at Pratt's level earned him about $40 a pop.
"I did go one time and audition on a stage for a club, but I don't think I got the job," he admitted. "I don't think I'm a very good dancer."
But still, it sounds like it was a natural fit for Pratt, who recently told BuzzFeed, "I was always a very much naked person. I loved to always get naked. I was very free, so I thought, 'I may as well get paid.'"
Before he was a Jurassic World star, Pratt also lived on a beach in Maui, where he "spent most of his time drinking and smoking weed, earning his money doing casual waiting jobs," according to Red Bulletin.
